About Me

My name is Abigail and I'm a 27-year-old writer of fiction, blog posts, and film/TV scripts. I also work part-time at the University of the West of England as a Library Information Administrator, where I help handle the finances and payments for print and electronic books.

I am an insightful and dedicated storyteller with a passion for writing short stories and novels, dabbling in all sorts of genres and settings, but have a particular fondness for romance, fantasy, thrillers, crime and historical fiction. My reading covers pretty much the same genres and I am always looking for a new, exciting read to add to my very long list! My favourite books of the last year have been Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, Under the Whispering Door by T.J.Klune, and Book of Night by Holly Black.

I spent most of my life in Devon, where I lived in a small seaside town with my parents, dogs and cats. I finished sixth form at secondary school with three A-levels, took a gap year to work locally for a year, and then applied for university. I took BA English with Creative Writing at Falmouth University, graduating with a 2:1 in 2019, and then took a Master's in Scriptwriting at Bath Spa University to develop my skills and experience in screenwriting, playwriting and even writing radio plays.

After gaining two degrees, I have written the pilot episodes for two TV series, a feature-length film script, and fully produced my own short film, Bruise (2020). I have also achieved finalist, semi-finalist, and honourable mention status in competitions for my TV pilot Hellish, and received a nomination for my short script, Chords, in the Lonely Wolf International Film Festival.

I am currently writing mostly fiction and hope to have a full fantasy novel written and published in the next few years, the plotline for which I am working very hard on!
